ADA and 508 Compliance
ACI has vast experience in evaluating and remediating websites to meet 508 compliance standards. We use CSS-P per the W3C Accessibility Recommendations for page layout. The use of CSS benefits accessibility by separating the site structure from the presentation. CSS also allows a visitor to define their own fonts and colors by specifying them in a user style sheet. ACI uses descriptive and informative “alt” attributes for all images. This assists with the use of screen readers. After spending a considerable time carefully crafting the text on your website, you need to verify visitors are finding your site! Once they do land on your site, you want to make sure the interface is user friendly and intuitive so they can quickly locate the information they are seeking. To assess your website success ACI recommends clients collect and review statistics on their website traffic.
Google allows small companies to utilize their basic analytics service free of charge. The basic service allows businesses to collect customer data including how visitors engage with their website. Stakeholders can then review current & historical data in both numerical and graphical formats.
